Average Water Fountain Statistics

Here are the average ratings for the various categories that the water fountains were scored against.

Average Temperature Rating: 3.13 stars out of 5

Average Stream Quality Rating: 3.36 stars out of 5

Average Height Rating: 2.86 stars out of 5

Average Quality Rating: 3.39 stars out of 5

Average Water Bottle Filling Rating: 3.34 stars out of 5

Average Overall Water Fountain Rating: 3.22 stars out of 5

Worst 10 Water Fountains on Campus

To go with the top 10 best water fountains, here is the list with the top 10 worst fountains on campus:

10. There is a four way tie for the 10th worst water fountain on campus.  The four fountains have a rating of 2.4 stars out of 5 and they are:

• Oldfather Hall 9th Floor
• Harper Hall 9th Floor South Side
• Selleck Quadrangle by room 5328
• Cook Pavilion Under the Heat Advisory  Sign

7. For the 7th worst water fountain on campus there is a three way tie at a rating of 2.3 stars out of 5. The three fountains are:

• Hamilton Hall by room 130
• Smith Hall 8th Floor North Side
• Cook Pavilion Under the Scoreboard

5. There is another tie for 5th worst fountain at a rating of 2.2 stars out of 5.  The two tied fountains are:

• Hamilton Hall by room 308
• Oldfather Hall 7th Floor

4. 4th place belongs solely to the water fountain that is by room 153 in the Rec Center with a rating of 2.1 stars out of 5
3. The bronze medal for THE WORST fountain is the short fountain from the Union by room 213 with a rating of 1.8 stars out of 5
2. The silver medal for the worst fountain goes to the short fountain on Harper Hall 1st Floor on the North Side with a rating of 1.7 stars out of 5
1. The gold medal for the worst, most horrible water fountain to get a drink from on campus belongs to the fountain by the Discovery Shop in Morrill Hall with a rating of a whopping 1.6 stars out of 5

Top 10 Water Fountains on Campus

After tallying the ratings we have compiled a list of the top ten water fountains on the campus.  Below are the results:

9. In 9th we have a four way tie.  With a rating of 3.9 stars out of 5 the four fountains are:

• Rec Center by the Fitness Assessment Room Tall Fountain
• Union by room 229
• Love Library by room S127
• Westbrook Music Building by room 211

5. In 5th we also have a four way tie.  With a rating of 4.0 stars out of 5 the four fountains are:

• Rec Center by the Fitness Assessment Room Short Fountain
• Hamilton Hall by room 205
• Hamilton Hall by room 326
• Burnett Hall by room 309 Tall Fountain

4. In fourth place is from Westbrook Music Building with a rating of 4.2 stars out of 5
2. There is yet another tie for the silver medal between two fountains with a rating of 4.3 stars out of 5.  The two fountains are:

• Hamilton Hall by room 218
• Hamilton Hall by room 213

1. The gold medal winner for best water fountain on campus is by the track in the Rec Center with a rating of 4.4 stars out of 5

Worst 5 Buildings on Campus

Here are your top five areas to avoid at all costs if you need a drink.  These are the buildings with the worst water fountains.

5. Andrews Hall with an average rating of 3 stars out of 5
4. Nebraska Hall with an average rating of 2.99 stars out of 5
3. The bronze medal goes to Oldfather Hall with an average rating of 2.96 stars out of 5
2. The silver medal goes to Harper Hall with an average rating of 2.95 stars out of 5
1. The gold medal for absolute worst building to get a drink goes to Morrill Hall with a 2.88 rating out of 5
